Origins
Centaur originates from Greek mythology. It is part horse and part man. It dwells in the mountains of Thessaly and Arcadia. Centaur is considered to be an Olympian demi-god.

The Griffin a legendary creature with the head and wings of an eagle, and the body, tail, and hind legs of a lion. As the eagle is considered the ‘king of the birds’, and the lion the ‘king of the beasts’, the Griffin therefore is perceived as a powerful and majestic creature.

Pegasus is the immortal winged horse according to Greek mythology. It is said that it is one of the two children of Poseidon and Medusa. Pegasus is a pure white stallion with a pair of feathered wings sprouting from his back.

Phoenix is a mythical bird associated with Paradise. It is said to lead a long life and is reborn by bursting into flames and rising from the ashes of its predecessor.
Powers/Abilities
Possessing extra-ordinary strength and stamina, the Centaur uses its front hooves as formidable weapons. It is also talented in oracles as it is able to read the future in the stars. Centaur is also a brilliant military strategist. Some of them are trained in the art of healing. The colour red is used to symbolise Centaur’s qualities of strength, leadership, courage and determination. They are featured in JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series and in CS Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia.

Hailed as “the king of all creatures.”, it has the right personality for its title: noble, fearsome and above all else, protective. It will fight to the death to keep evil and corruption out of its territory. Griffin has incredible strength and its body has magical properties. It could restore sight to the blind or prolong life. The colour blue is used to symbolise Griffin’s qualities of confidence, loyalty, wisdom and truth. It is featured in the Percy Jackson series, the Spiderwick Chronicles and the Harry Potter series. Games like World of Warcraft and Dungeons and Dragons also allow players to test their skills against the mighty Griffin!

Besides Pegasus ability to fly, it has an arsenal of supernatural powers. He represents speed, loyalty, strength and artistic inspiration. It encompasses beauty and a sense of majesty. It performs its duties dutifully and without question for the riders who tame him. The colour yellow is used to symbolise Pegasus’ qualities of positivity, clarity, optimism and loyalty. Pegasus appears in fantasy works like Disney’s Fantasia and the bestselling Percy Jackson series. It is also a popular logo in the transportation industry. Many cars, airplanes, and ships have been named after it.

The Phoenix today represents power and resilience due to its ability to resurrect. It can directly absorb energy and life-force from an enemy. It has mental abilities of a cosmic scope, including telepathy and telekinesis. The colour green is used to symbolise Phoenix’s qualities of growth, harmony, renewal and energy. It is featured as Phoenix Force, a fictional entity, in the American comic books published by Marvel Comics and in JK Rowling’s Harry Potter series.
