Queensway Secondary School’s Sports for Life & Outdoor Education Programme (SOE) is to nurture Queenswayans into responsible citizens and life-long learners.
The QSS SOE aims to provide varied opportunities for all students to inculcate 21st century competencies, values and character through experiential learning in sports, physical and outdoor activities.

Through the QSS SOE Programme, we aim to:
  • Inculcate sports enjoyment and deep appreciation for lifelong learning by providing students with skills for personal development in competitive and recreational sports, physical and outdoor activities.
  • Nurture sound moral values, deep national identity and global citizenship values to think globally and act locally and ethically.
  • Develop resilience and drive for excellence through learning experiences and active participation in sports, physical and outdoor activities.

In Queensway Secondary School, values education and character development is central to all our programmes. This is reflected in our school’s core values of Discipline, Respect, Responsibility and Excellence. The Sports for Life & Outdoor Education Programme is significant in nurturing our Queens Graduate to become Caring, Responsible Citizens and Confident, Life-long Learners.

The SOE Programme builds skills, values and attitudes for active participation in sports, physical and outdoor activities. The programme is designed for pervasiveness across levels in building skills and competencies, developing character and values, and cultivating positive attitudes, thus laying a strong foundation for life-long active and healthy living. In addition, the SOE Programme also provides opportunities for students to further their interests and enhance their skills at a higher level.
