Football (Girls)

Brief Outline

The girls’ football programme at Queensway is both rigorous as well as beneficial. The programme stresses the importance of gaining both mental and physical strength. Attendance in training is vital as each session aims to subsequently motivate the girls out of their comfort zones with a variety of activities that include national tournaments, a sprinkling of friendly matches and street soccer tournaments organized outside school.

Main Activities

Training is conducted twice weekly focusing on physical and mental development. The girls will participate in the National Inter-School Under-17 and Under-14 tournaments that spans the whole of Semester 1 for the senior girls and up to Term 3 for the younger enthusiasts. Besides the inter-school tournaments, the school organizes friendly matches that help to engage the students and keep the interests alive. Furthermore, day camps are conducted to build camaraderie and bonding amongst the players and teachers.
